Overview
The direction of research and teaching in this department focuses mainly on the following two kinds of areas:
(1) Semiconductor IC area: digital circuit design, semiconductor physics, semiconductor devices, integrated circuit fabrication, bio-sensor devices, nonlinear optics, optical engineering, integrated optics, nano-silicon photonic integrated circuit fabrication and design, analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design, analog and mixed-mode clock control circuit design.
(2) System integration area: iterative learning control, adaptive control, fuzzy and neural networks, computer systems and structures, computational geometry, image processing, computer graphics, data compression, speech signal processing, communication systems, digital communications, wireless communication systems, digital signal processing, microwave and millimeter wave circuit theory analysis, antenna theory and design, RF IC and wireless communication module design, HTT nonlinear time-frequency analysis, radar telemetry, wireless network encryption, wired high-speed communications and fiber optic transmission receiver circuit design, artificial intelligence, RF and microwave circuit design.
